Music Clothes

Those of you that know me will realise that I'm not a fashion expert, I try to keep with the style but I wouldn't ever say I'd be a fashion icon or trend setter, not in the slightest. I'm one of those people that when sees expensive clothing that I slowly put it down and walk out of the store. But the purpose of this post isn't to tell you about my poor dress sense and my unwillingness to give away money but instead to tell you about some amazing companies which I am very much in love with.

I always call them music clothing because they are (as it sounds) small companies that sell their own clothing which is usually fitting to music along with organising tours or touring with different bands that they closely support.

Some really great ones are:

- Stop Drop Rock which I've posted about a million times with the lovely Conor, check out my original post on them if you don't know about them. But they also tour a lot with various bands although as much as I go on about them I still haven't been to a tour that they've been at, which is probably good because I'd spend too much money. Anyway, I love their clothes and I think it depends on your tastes which items you will personally like. And there is also the SDR Magazine coming out soon ran by Chris (he used to be a partner of SDR clothing but has recently left) so make sure your ready for that because it will be amazing once its ready.
- Hands Up which oddly enough is also ran by a Connor (I know very little about Hands Up) in Glasgow but basically it's sort of a similar principal as SDR (just not nearly quite as good - I'm biased). Hands Up also sells merchandise at a lot of local shows to him but he is also touring in Spring next year which I slightly hold a grudge to but that isn't a story for today. But the tour sounds great and is all in aid of charity and although I still have the grudge against it the support bands that have been announced (A Season of Secrets, High Hopes, City Surrender, Black Echo and more) are great so I plan to still attend.

- Drop Dead are quite a big clothing company and are quite developed but I thought I'd give them a little mention because they are quite popular with most people. And this company sponsors a lot of amazing bands such as A Day to Remember, Drapers, Gallows, You Me At Six and so many more bands.

- Reckless is a very small and new company from my hometown of Kent having only started in October 2011. It's still so early that I don't think they even have their own website yet. The bands that they support are take a stand, trophys and bury the betrayal.

- Live A Little supports the band Just Me Again and I really don't know much about this company. The range of clothing that they currently offer is very limited but I'm sure that will be able to increase in the future.

- Hallow started in 2009 by three friends, their clothing is available in 17 different countries. The three boys that started the company are always looking to improve it and hope to meet the demand of their customers.

- Paint the stars are a small company that makes clothing for males and females. It seems asthough the inspiration for their designs comes from their own personal experiences.

Pulp are one that really does need to be mentioned, they are more of an alternative company but they do have a large variety of clothing so I think for them that there is something for everyone to like. Pulp actually have their own stores across the country where they also hold band signings on frequent occasions but also Pulp showcases various other designers work.
