Week Commencing: Monday 13th February 2012 Quick 2 Minutes So to start it off the news that has to be the highlight of the week is Not Advised announcing their change to Natives. We were all expecting a re-brand by them and now we finally have it. And it looks like we will be hearing some of their new material next week. Strangle Kojak got through to the next round of Red Bull Bedroom Jam and their Bedroom Jam is being released tomorrow so make sure you check that out because I'm sure that's going to be awesome.
Also A Day Overdue, Show it Off, That Sunday Feeling and Alone Tonight are all doing a co-headlining tour in May so if you are anywhere near Bristol, Newcastle, Nottingham or Glasgow then make sure you go and see them. This is classed as A Day Overdue's warm up tour so hopefully they'll have another tour later on in the year I honestly can't think what has happened this week.
UK Chart This weeks number three is Somebody that I used to know by Gotye, second spot is Next to Me by Emeli Sande and this weeks UK number one is Hot Right Now by DJ Fresh.
Week Commencing: Monday 6th February 2012 Quiz 2 minutes Well I can say it's been a tight week in the red bull bedroom jam mainly between Strangle Kojak and Taking Hayley. Both are really awesome bands and I know they will both get through but the fight to get a band through this week has begun and it is very intense. Seeing as I am supporting a different every band per a week for this part of the competition, this week its Strangle Kojak. So if you get a chance then go and vote for them
I have been getting so excited about going to the Room 94 loud noises tour, it's going to be amazing and I am really looking forward to checking out some of their new material. Hopefully get to meet the guys this time which'll be exciting. I am especially excited to see Show It Off who are supporting them for this stop of their tour so it should be really amazing.
This week has bought to my attention the break up of some awesome bands, the first really great one is A Boy Named Girl (I hadn't even got round to posting about them yet) who are a really awesome band and it's sad to see them stop, of Mice and Men has lost Shayley (I'll admit I don't know much about this band but it's never nice seeing a band lose a member) and also the biggest horror of the week has been Not Advised. Although everyone says that they will be re-releasing themselves under a new name especially as they've just come back from America recording an album as that is a lot of money and time to waste. I agree with everyone as I'm sure they will be back but branded under a new name.
UK Chart
This weeks UK number three is T.H.E by Will.i.am, second is Titanium by David Guetta and this weeks UK number 1 is Somebody That I Used to Know by Gotye.
