Weekly Update

Week Commencing: Monday 5th March 2011

Quick 2 Minutes
This months Ourzone Magazine is out and it is featuring so many awesome bands All Time Low, Beyond Recall, Mayday Parade, Attack Attack, Anti Flag, Young Guns and so many others.
Talking of Beyond Recall they are joining the Don't be a HaTOUR tour this April but only at selected dates, you'll have to check in with them to find out which dates it is but you are in for a real treat with this tour because the line up is turning out to be just amazing. If you do go along then make sure you go and say hi to everyone you can because they are all such lovely people and will be happy to have a good chat with you. Beyond Recall are giving a free copy of their song "Mistakes" this Friday and I can tell you that it is one to have. It's a bit different from their usual stuff and is already in prime place on my iPod so don't miss out on that one because it is one to have.
The Reading and Leeds line up gets released tomorrow evening and I have to admit that I am rather looking forward to seeing it. I am still hoping that the rumoured line up is tree because it'll be one awesome festival if it is.

This might be boring for you but for me it's been a bit of an exciting week. I am going to be working at Lounge on the Farm this year which is a festival based in Canterbury. They have only released part of the line up so far and this is it. I am hoping to meet some famous faces, I am sure the chances of that are very slim but I can be hopeful. I will try to do a bit of a daily Lounge on the Farm diary from you if I take my phone with me so I can update you on it all but it might be when I get back because I don't think I trust myself not to lose my phone. But I'll let you know closer to the time. I am really excited for that and I have five nights of camping to endure for it. So if anyone has any festival tips for me then they'd be greatly appreciated because I have no idea what to take.

A second slightly exciting thing is that TMF is on Facebook, we didn't quite get the name that I wanted because of Facebook rules but we are there. I decided to go for being a person rather than being a page right now because I think it makes it so much easier to interact with people. So make sure you are posting the names/links/videos to all of your favourite bands and teach us about some of the artists that you love. This is the link so make sure you get over and add us: www.facebook.com/themusicfuture2011

UK Chart

This week third spot was taken by Nicki Minaj with Starships, second spot was by Emeli Sande and once again the UK number one is Somebody that I used to Know by Gotye.
