Weekly Update

Week Commencing 3rd October 2011

X Factor is onto it's live finals now, I think that The Risk are my favourite at the moment but I'm inbetween acts. I'll know once we get shown more about each of the acts. And the new twist that the judges have to get rid of one of their acts will be an interesting one. Some are easy and some are not so. But on the plus side X Factor has started which means that we are on the countdown till christmas.

I've just found out that the Cranbrook Music Festival raised £2,498.49 for NSPCC, The Holly Eatwell Foundation and Christmas Cranbrook. That's the amazing work of everyone involved with the event. Brilliant Work!

This weeks top three are, in third place is last weeks number one which is Sak Noel with Loca People, in second place STILL is Maroon 5 with Move Like Jagger and this weeks UK number one is Rihanna with her song We Found Love.

Cranbrook Music Festival and Datura Glow

At the original time which I posted about Datura Glow there wasn't a video available for me to share with you. Well now there is which has been recorded at the Cranbrook Music Festival.

Cranbrook Music Festival & Weekly Update

Week Commencing: Monday 26th September 2011

For those of you that read my blog frequently will know that I offered my assistance up to the Cranbrook Music Festival, I can honestly not tell you how much of an amazing weekend I had. The music was brilliant all the time, the people were high spirited and the whole weekend was wonderful. A big shout out to the organisers Julie, Mell and Dave for all of their hard work.
Dautra Glow made their debut live performance and they did amazingly, it was wonderful to see. Following them were Siren who performed brilliantly, Hydraponic were great and then In Arcanium for a good Saturday start, these were up at the crown. I didn't get to see all of the bands perform because I had to be up at the crown organising things (whatever it was that I did). Then on the Sunday we had some great performances from the likes of The Version, 4th Wall, The Drams and Acousitca before Guns Vs Roses hit the stage. The Seamonkeys and Tobi were brilliant too, Javacaine were not one to miss either. Basically it was all brilliant and totally amazing.
The icing on the cake last night had to be Guns Vs Roses who just had everyone under their grasp and letting loss to the music. It did get a little bit worrying when people transferred their energy into using chairs to express their enjoyment but all in all I'd say it was a pretty successful Cranbrook Music Festival, roll on next years one. I haven't been given the final total of money we raise for the charities yet but I'll let you know once I find out.

Weekly Update

Week Commencing Monday 19th September 2011

I've got the backlog of about 20 bands to write about, so far they all have a title and that's about it because I found so many that I haven't had a chance to write about any of them.
Don't forget CRANBROOK MUSIC FESTIVAL this weekend, it's only five sleeps away and I am incredibly excited.

X Factor is getting very exciting, they're all down to judges houses. I haven't quite decided upon my favourites yet but I think I'll just see how they develop as performers and then pick some favourites when we are through to the live shows. Anyone got any favourites yet? There are rumours that Garry Barlow will be writing the winners song, whether this is true or not is beyond my knowledge right now.

One Direction fans will be happy to hear that their first UK headline tour dates have been announced, I'm sure there are a number of people who have queued up waiting for those tickets. I can think of one person who will be near the front of the queue already. Talking of tours Girls Aloud are planning a farewell tour to mark their 10th Anniversary as a girl group and to end it all properly.
This weeks charts, third place is One Direction with What Makes Your Beautiful , still in second place and holding it's ground very well is Move Like Jagger by Maroon 5 and finally in first position this week is Dappy with No Regrets. (I've seen him perform this live, it was very good) Here is this weeks number one:

Cranbrook Music Festival

The Cranbrook Music Festival is happening very locally to me and I am even helping out at the event, I'll be at The Crown all weekend if you fancied coming to have a chat. This is the first year for the Cranbrook Music Festival but I'm telling you it's not going to be the last, they've already got plans ready for next year to make it bigger and better than it is now.

It will be an amazing weekend and there are so many amazing local acts that are going to be there, I am so excited for this weekend. It is a charity event, which means that it's free to watch any of the bands all we ask is of a donation as much as you can manage for a whole days worth of entertainment. Not forgetting my favourite part the exciting Pub Quiz Crawl, which will be spread out over the three different pubs.
